Mercy Foundation's Building Home Building for Tsunami Victims of Bangsak Village,
Banmuang sub-district, Takuap district, Phang-nga province, South Thailand




On January 14, 2005, in an official correspondence number 0417/65, the Takuapa district head extended the invitation to Mercy Foundation to take signicant part in the rebuilding of permnent homes for Tsunami victims who had experienced the total loss of the homes in the giant tidal waves on December 26, 2004. The first major task of home construction for Mercy Foundation is the 50 homes in Bangsak Village (Moo 8).
On February 15, in an official correspondence number 0004/2555, the governor of Phang-nga province extended his welcome to Mercy Foundation to build permanent homes for residents of Bangsak Village (Moo 8) who had their homes destroyed by Tsunami tidal waves on December 26, 2004.
Mercy Foundation has gathered and received funds from cooperating organizations, businesses, and individuals to carry out the Tsunami projects in Phang-nga province.
Mercy Foundation has welcome volunteers from various countries to help with home building projects.
Mercy Foundation wants to extend special thanks to volunteers who are helping or have helped to build permanent homes for Tsunami victims.
