Mekong Christmas Cup 2 - Soccer Tournament
December 5-10, 2006
The Mekong Cup 2 was held at the sports field of Mercy Foundation in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary reign of the present Thai king as well as to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Sixteen teams from three districts (Khemarat, Phosai, and Nathan) in Ubonratchatani province, Northeast Thailand, were invited to particpate in the tournament. From sixteen teams, only four teams made to the final four--the Mekong Church, Yodchai, Somrong, and Donhung. Somrong team from Phosai district took first place; Yodchai, second; Donhung, third; and Mekong Church, fourth.
